Warm Homes Plan

The Warm Homes Plan is a UK government-backed programme designed to support energy efficiency upgrades that make homes warmer, more comfortable, and cheaper to run.

The plan brings together funding, delivery partners, and energy-efficiency measures to help households improve their homes, reduce energy use, and lower bills  with a strong focus on long-term affordability and comfort.

Improveasy supports the delivery of the Warm Homes Plan by guiding households through available options and coordinating trusted, accredited upgrades.

What Is the Warm Homes Plan?

The Warm Homes Plan, announced by the UK Government in January 2026, is a £15 billion national programme designed to cut energy bills and improve home energy efficiency. Aiming to upgrade up to five million homes by 2030, it will support measures such as insulation, solar panels, heat pumps, and battery storage through a mix of grants and low-interest finance, with delivery continuing to roll out from 2026 onwards.

The Warm Homes Plan is a national framework that supports energy efficiency upgrades across UK housing stock, particularly for homes that are harder or more expensive to heat.

Rather than a single grant, the Warm Homes Plan brings together different funding routes and delivery programmes to help households improve insulation, heating efficiency, and overall home performance.
