Heat Pump Installation: Expert Insights from Danny Hill.

The heat pump market is growing all the time.

For decades, the UK domestic market has been dominated by gas and oil. But as our installer Danny Hill explains, the heat pump market is growing, and the technology is more reliable than you might think. Manufacturers have been perfecting these systems for decades. The real challenge isn’t just the equipment, it’s the precision of the installation and moving away from ‘boiler habits.’ Unlike a gas boiler, which you might blast for an hour, a heat pump is designed to run efficiently at lower temperatures over longer periods.

Getting that setup right from day one is the key to lower bills.

Additionally, through the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS), you could be eligible for a £7,500 grant to help cover the cost of replacing your fossil fuel boiler with a clean, efficient heat pump.

The Steps to Your Air Source Heat Pump Installation

1.

The Initial Consultation

“The process sort of starts with an initial survey where we’ll go meet the customer and basically have a look around the house.”

Every project begins with a face-to-face meeting to understand your home’s unique layout. During this stage, we also help you navigate the
Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) application, ensuring you access the £7,500 grant available to secure your transition.

2.

High-Tech Property Scanning

“We do full scans on the property using the iPad and some Lidar technology and with that scan work out all the heat losses for the property.”

Moving beyond traditional tape measures, we use advanced Lidar technology to create a precise digital map of your space.

3.

Customised Design

“Look at the hot water requirements… Any radiator upgrades, pipe work upgrades, where the unit’s going to go.”

We evaluate your existing infrastructure to guarantee the new system can be installed successfully.

4.

Expert Knowledge Application

“That’s the skill really. That’s where you have to sort of improve your knowledge.”

Our MCS-certified installers continuously update their skills to master the growing heat pump market and ensure peak performance. We have recently been proudly accredited to

5.

Post-Install Aftercare

“We’ll follow up to 3-4 weeks after the install. Make sure they’re happy with everything, make sure everything’s working OK.”

We don’t just fit and forget – we return a few weeks later to ensure you are happy, the system is running perfectly and answer any questions you might have.

For total peace of mind, our ongoing Service Plans start from just £8 a month, keeping your investment protected year after year.

6.

Energy Independence

“The energy that they’ve had off the solar has offset the extra electric has gone into the heat pump.”

The ultimate goal is a warm home where renewable energy, like solar, can offset your heating costs entirely.
